Job summary

Joe Coffee is seeking a Workshop Educator to teach public coffee education classes as part of the Workshop series at our HQ in New York. This is a highly independent role requiring public speaking, coaching and guiding students in barista techniques, latte art, and cupping.

Hours are 6-8 per week on Saturdays, pay is $25 per hour, and applicants should have at least one year as a barista; strong hospitality and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year as a barista in a specialty coffee environment.
• Experience in public speaking or lecturing is preferred.
• Teaching or coaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach public coffee education classes as part of the Workshop series.
• Public speaking and coaching students in coffee brewing, latte art, and sensory skills.
• Guide attendees through Joe Coffee best practices and class content.
• Coordinate and conduct Latte Art, Espresso, Home Barista, Home Brewing and Intro to Coffee & Cupping sessions.
• Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment for diverse participants.
