Job Title: Coffee Technology Lab Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Coffee Technology Lab Assistant to support the research, development, and testing of coffee brewing technologies. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in coffee science, basic laboratory skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, tech-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct testing of coffee brewer technology and coffee packaging
• Record data logs from brewer technology in Excel
• Use Excel to create graphs to visualize brewer performance
• Collect, record, and analyze data on coffee quality, yield, and extraction
• Operate and maintain simple lab instruments (e.g., scales, refractometer, grinders, glassware, oxygen sensors)
• Collaborate with engineers and software developers
• Run iterative brewing trials to determine optimum brewer settings and update brewer software using a computer
• Support R&D projects in areas such as new product development, packaging innovation, and brewing system hardware
• Maintain a clean, organized lab environment following safety and food-handling protocols

Qualifications

• Strong interest in coffee, brewing science, or food technology
• Prior experience with coffee is preferred but not required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and maintaining computer files
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Bonus Skills

• Experience with software development or programming
• Experience with R&D or production in coffee, food, or beverage industry
