Job summary

Farmer Brothers is seeking a Coffee & Tea Field Account Specialist to deliver, merchandise, and service beverage stations on a defined route. You’ll build relationships with customers, manage on-route invoices, and perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment operates reliably.

The role emphasizes a strong customer-service mindset, mechanical aptitude for on-site repairs, and adherence to DOT requirements. This on-site position runs weekdays with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Route delivery experience is a plus.
• Customer service background preferred; foodservice experience desired.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, replenish, and rotate coffee, tea, and related products on assigned routes.
• Clean and verify equipment is operational; perform daily Cup Quality Check (CQC).
• Service each customer on the set daily schedule.
• Handle invoices, inventory, and collections while on route.
• Boost performance by closing distribution voids on core items and executing promotions.
• Escalate customer issues to the ASM promptly and follow through for resolution.
• Assist the ASM with inventory cycle counts, warehouse tasks, and customer initiatives.
• Learn brewer basics to make minor repairs or adjustments.
• Use the Farmer Brothers Way to Sell to strengthen satisfaction and loyalty.

Join us as a Coffee & Tea Field Account SpecialistFuel workplaces with great coffee and elevate customer experiences while providing route relief coverage. You’ll deliver, merchandise, service equipment, and grow sales across an assigned list of accounts.Why this roleImpact every stop: keep customers in stock, on schedule, and delighted.Blend service and sales: maintain beverage stations to standard while growing Revenue per Stop.Be the go-to: support the ASM (Area Sales Manager), spot opportunities, and solve issues fast.What you’ll doDeliver, replenish, and rotate coffee, tea, and related products for assigned routes.Clean and verify equipment is operational; perform at least one daily CQC (Cup Quality Check).Service each customer on the set daily schedule.Handle invoices, inventory, and collections while on route.Boost performance by closing distribution voids on core items, executing seasonal and LTO promotions, applying pricing actions, and ensuring beverage stations meet standards.Escalate customer issues to the ASM promptly and follow through for resolution.Report inefficiencies, dissatisfaction, or new opportunities when running route relief.Assist the ASM with inventory cycle counts, warehouse tasks, and customer initiatives.Learn brewer basics to make minor repairs or adjustments.Use the Farmer Brothers customer call process (The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell) to strengthen satisfaction and loyalty; make sales calls when time allows.Support as needed with warehouse operations, accounts receivable collections, and customer service activities.Schedule & drivingMonday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; overtime as needed.Valid driver’s license required.Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Route delivery experience a plus.Customer service background preferred; foodservice experience desired.Clean and solid driving record.Strengths for successHands-on mechanical aptitude with company hardware/software.Strong customer-needs assessment and problem-solving.Goal-oriented, accountable, and proactive.Awareness of personal impact on customers and teammates.Active listening; effective communication with customers and management.Ability to build rapport and long-term relationships.Sound business judgment and independent decision-making.Pay transparency & benefitsFarmer Brothers is committed to pay transparency and competitive compensation.
