Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Coffee Shop Associate to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store environment. The role includes beverage preparation, answering questions, stocking and labeling merchandise, and ensuring freshness and accurate portioning of products.

You will work with teammates to meet store goals, follow safety procedures, and communicate any safety risks or discrepancies to management.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond with suggestions.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork to help achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and to customer requests; tender transactions using company best practices.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items and inform them of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Use coffee shop equipment safely and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and guidelines.
• Practice preventive maintenance and report items needing repair.
• Notify management of accidents; report safety risks to store management.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a calm, cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
