Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation in Streetsboro, OH is seeking an Extruder Operator A for the D Shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM, rotating). Training will lead to Operator A, with a $2.00 shift premium and a base pay of $22.00 per hour.

You will assist in set-ups, adjustments, and operation of extrusion machinery, perform QA tests, monitor scrap flow, move materials, and support maintenance tasks. A high school diploma and manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Prior extrusion experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency.
• 1 year of relative manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrate good attendance, reliable.

• Proven quality oriented.
• Demonstrated good performance in current role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Observe all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations.
• Follow instructions to monitor scrap recovery control procedure.
• Provide assistance required or move and position nip rollers, rewind shafts, and razor cut devices as directed for proper operation.
• Monitor continuing operations for proper flow of raw and scrap material.
• Move completed work as directed and weigh and move to designated storage or other work area.
• Hook up vacuum pumps to rail cars and monitor operation.
• Procure materials and resins from receiving areas as required.
• Occasionally perform or assist in minor extruder and/or related recovery equipment, repair, or maintenance duties as instructed.
• Perform QA tasks including gauge thickness, smoothness, visual, opacity, dyne level, and any other required tests.
• Must be able to fill in as an A operator as needed.

Role Purpose
