Job summary

WellSky is seeking a Coding Quality Coach to perform medical coding quality audits and address agency-specific quality concerns. You will support US-based and international coding and audit teams by providing feedback on audited records and revisions.

The role emphasizes adherence to Medicare/CMS guidelines, collaboration with operations, and ongoing improvement of coding quality across service lines. Full-time, benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Coding Certification (HCS-D or BCHH-C).
• OASIS Certification (HCS-O).

Responsibilities

• Perform coding quality audits following coding policies and procedures, including Medicare/CMS guidelines, ensuring compliant coding practices.
• Complete audits as prioritized by the quality team to improve coder performance across service lines.
• Analyze coder reviews and provide feedback to the quality management team.
• Collaborate with the operations team to monitor coding performance against internal quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Coding Quality Coach is responsible for performing medical coding quality audit assignments and addressing agency-specific quality concerns.The scope of this job involves providing service to clients and the international and US-based coding and audit teams by providingappropriate feedbackand guidance on audited records and agency requested revisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform coding quality audits following coding quality policies and procedures, including Medicare,CMSor pay program guidelines, and ensure compliance withappropriate codingpractices, regulatory standards, and contractual requirements.

• Complete audits asdeterminedby quality team’s daily prioritization and support improved performance of coders in all service lines.

• Analyzequalityof coder reviews and provide feedback toqualitymanagement teamregardingconcerns.

• Collaborate with operations team to ensure awareness of coding team performance against key metrics compared to internal coding quality standards.

• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

• At least 0-2 years of relevant work experience

• Coding Certified(HCS-D or BCHH-C)

• OASIS Certified(HCS-O)
