Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Coding Operations Education Manager to lead and supervise the daily operations of the Coding Operations Education team in Nashville. The role focuses on aligning staffing, workflows, and service quality with departmental goals.

You will mentor and train staff, drive performance improvements, and ensure compliance with coding and payer requirements. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration across teams are essential to promote a high-performing education

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent work experience may substitute education requirements.
• 3 years healthcare management experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare coding, revenue cycle, financial or clinical operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate with other departments to share information and training needs.
• Review data and provide analysis and financial impact assessment.
• Establish and review internal controls to meet department goals.
• Determine staffing hours and resources for efficiency.
• Screen, interview, hire, and onboard new employees.
• Evaluate staff performance and recommend merit increases and promotions.
• Mentor staff for career development; ensure training needs are met.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and maintain knowledge of workflows and tools.
• Inform leadership of coding documentation payer requirements and changes.
