Qualifications

• 5 years of hospital or physician coding/auditing experience; training/education experience allowed for internal moves.
• In-depth knowledge of ICD-CM/ICD-PCS, CPT/HCPCS, DRG/APC structure; encoder/grouper/abstracting tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and report coding audits across AHN entities.
• Develop and deliver training and educational materials to address audit deficiencies.
• Validate ICD-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS coding accuracy and DRG/APC assignments.
• Monitor inpatient case mix and top DRG/APC groups to identify trends and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with AHIMA/Coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
