Job summary

Providence is seeking a coding analyst to provide coding insight and answer questions on ICD and CPT codes in line with AHA and UHDDS guidelines. The role abstracts clinical data and supports regular analyses of patient records, contributing to accurate reporting and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Pass department coding assessment test prior to date of hire (75% or above).
• 4 years CPT or ICD-9-CM acute care hospital coding experience.

Job description

Under the direction of the designated leader, the coding analyst will provide coding insight and answer coding related questions related to ICD and CPT codes according to American Hospital Association (AHA) and Uniform Hospital Discharge Set (UHDDS) guidelines. This individual abstracts clinical data and assists in regular analyses of patient records.
