The Hospital Outpatient Coder accurately abstracts pertinent information from the patient record to apply the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to individual outpatient accounts for data submission/analysis and claims processing. This position adheres to the Official ICD-10 and CPT Coding Guidelines and the American Health Information Management Association Standards of Ethical Coding while maintaining established productivity and quality standards. The Hospital Outpatient Coder will demonstrate continual learning by attending coding webinars and audit review sessions.

At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non-12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
