Job summary

McKenzie-Willamette medical Center is seeking a qualified medical coder to abstract clinical information from diverse medical records and assign ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes in accordance with established procedures.

Responsibilities include working with coding databases to confirm DRG assignments and performing duties under general supervision, reporting to the Director of Health Information Management. A high school diploma or equivalent with coding credentials is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; CPC/CCS/RHIT/RHIA eligible; associate degree preferred.
