Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Georgia is seeking a medical coder to analyze clinical documentation and assign/validate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes for a variety of hospital encounters, ensuring records are coded accurately and timely.
The coder may assist with denials and appeals as needed and will identify, resolve, and report errors or patterns within coding and billing processes as a member of a dynamic team. Potential for remote work after orientation and probationary period.
The medical coder is responsible for analyzing clinical documentation to assign and/or validate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes for a variety of hospital encounters. The coder will ensure that medical records are coded in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with established coding guidelines. The coder may assist with denials and appeals, as needed, and will identify, resolve, and report errors or patterns associated with coding and billing processes as a member of a dynamic team.
Experience and/or certification required.
Potential to work remotely after successful orientation/training and probationary period.
Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
Technical/other training or better in Health Information Technology or related field.
