Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an Outpatient Coder/Abstractor to accurately code, sequence, and abstract outpatient records in accordance with ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines. You will query physicians for documentation clarification and operate within approved practices to ensure timely reimbursement.

The role requires one year of outpatient coding experience (internship accepted) and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience with outpatient coding and ICD-10-CM/CPT guidelines.
• One year of outpatient coding experience required; internship experience may be considered.
• Strong understanding of coding guidelines (ICD-10-CM, CPT).
• Ability to seek clarification from physicians through effective queries.

Queries physicians for clarification on documentation. Performs duties within approved practices, exercising independent judgment within pre-determined guidelines.
