Qualifications

• Code Welding Experience (ASME Sec. 8/9, B31.3, AWS D1.1, AWS D17.1)
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Operational understanding of a manufacturing environment
• Ownership and accountability in the workplace
• Willingness to learn new processes or methods
• Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and blueprints
• Ability to read and interpret assignments and plan accordingly
• Basic math related to welding tasks

Responsibilities

• Weld Non-Code and Code articles to satisfactory quality
• Perform GMAW, FCAW, SMAW per WPS
• Achieve 100% NDT when required
• Process materials with accuracy and efficiency
• Operate oxy-fuel, plasma, saw, mag-drill, and grinder
• Use shop and personal tooling safely
• Drive a forklift safely
• Contribute to team development of welding and fabrication skills
• Be a SAFE, accountable team member
• Plan tools and materials per job instructions
• Repair and fabricate items using cutting, burning, and welding techniques
• Monitor welding/burning/fitting to prevent damage and warping
