Job summary

CCI Industrial Services is seeking highly skilled welders to join our field teams in Louisiana. You will perform welding tasks across industrial and power plant settings, adhering to stringent safety standards and permitting requirements.

Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW is preferred, with the ability to read blueprints and welding specifications. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong knowledge of welding codes (ASME IX), quality control, and the capacity to work in varied positions while

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of welding processes, procedures, techniques, and equipment used in industrial and power plant applications.
  • Knowledge of SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW processes.
  • Knowledge of welding metallurgy, base metals, filler metals, electrodes, shielding gases, and material compatibility.
  • Knowledge of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and welder qualification requirements.
  • Knowledge of welding symbols, blueprints, fabrication drawings, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section IX, and other applicable welding codes and standards.
  • Proficient in one or more welding processes, including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
  • Ability to weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions, as qualified.
  • Ability to consistently produce welds that meet code, specification, and quality requirements.
  • Ability to follow hot-work permits, fire-watch requirements, LOTO procedures, and other site safety requirements.

  • Maintain 100% 'Safety Standards and Accountability' in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with the required HSE Training.
  • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
  • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
  • Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives.
  • Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
  • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
  • Promote and participate in Safety Programs.
