Apache Workforce LLC is seeking an experienced Code Vessel Welder to join our production team in Midland, TX. This role focuses on welding pressure vessels in compliance with ASME requirements and industry standards.
The candidate will read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and fabricate vessel components while ensuring quality and safety. A 6G welding test is required for consideration, with pay depending on experience.

We are seeking an experienced Code Vessel Welder to join our production team. This position is ideal for a skilled welder with experience in pressure vessel and code welding who takes pride in safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail.
The successful candidate will perform welding and fabrication work in accordance with applicable ASME requirements, welding procedures, and industry standards.
Perform welding on pressure vessels and related components in accordance with ASME Section VIII, AWS, API, ANSI, and applicable industry standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, isometric drawings, and fabrication layouts.
Lay out, fit, and fabricate vessel components and pipe prior to welding and installation.
Inspect welds and workpieces for defects and verify conformance to specifications using measuring tools.
Repair weld defects and discontinuities identified during visual, UT, X-ray, or other inspections.
Perform repairs on vessels and tanks that do not meet inspection requirements.
Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
Perform thermal cutting using oxy-fuel torches and plasma arc equipment.
Safely connect and operate oxygen and fuel-gas systems.
Operate forklifts, man lifts, and scissor lifts as needed.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, and elevated work platforms when required.
Report production discrepancies and safety concerns to the shop foreman.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all PPE and safety requirements.
Proven experience welding pressure vessels and code-regulated equipment.
Strong understanding of ASME Section VIII and applicable welding codes and standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, isometric drawings, and fabrication layouts.
Ability to identify weld defects and perform necessary repairs.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience operating forklifts, man lifts, or scissor lifts is a plus.
Qualified candidates must successfully complete a 6G welding test based on the company's Welding Procedure Specification (WPS).

Successful completion of the weld test is required for consideration for the position.
$25-$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
The appropriate starting rate will be determined based on factors including:
Years of relevant code welding experience
Pressure vessel and/or ASME fabrication experience
Ability to read and build from detailed fabrication drawings
Welding experience with GMAW/FCAW processes
Previous experience with code-required inspections and repairs
Performance on the required 6G weld test
Overall skill level and qualifications
Monday-Friday, generally 6:00 AM-6:00 PM.
Additional hours may be required based on production needs.
