Qualifications

  • Experience with ASME Section VIII, Division 1 is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld to code requirements.
  • 3+ years vessel fabrication experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code is a plus.

Build Pressure-Rated Equipment That Stands Up to the Code

You’ll join our fabrication team as a code-focused welder specializing in ASME Section VIII, Division 1 pressure vessels. Your craft, precision, and communication keep projects moving from fit-up through inspection and final documentation.

A day in this role

Start your shift by reviewing drawings and customer specifications. You'll plan beads, set up for Flux-Cored Arc Welding with back-gouging where required, and coordinate with the Plant Foreman and Assigned Fitter to sequence work efficiently. Throughout the day you'll document labor, keep your area clean, and prepare each segment for inspection approval. You'll also engage with our Internal Quality Control Manager and respond directly to customer site inspectors and the Authorized Inspector's questions so your work clears every checkpoint without defects. Most tasks are completed with limited supervision - your schedule management and attention to detail are essential.

  • Work with limited supervision; manage your schedule to deliver on time and defect-free
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated welding capability through Mason's weld test
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required production weld certifications
  • 3+ years of vessel fabrication experience a plus
  • Familiarity with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1 is a plus
  • Accurate blueprint reading and interpretation
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Dependable and punctual work habits
