Job summary

Code Ninjas in Kirkwood, MO is seeking a part-time Code Sensei to teach kids aged 5-14 coding using our game-based curriculum. You will guide students through projects, foster a supportive learning environment, and help troubleshoot programs.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and enjoy working with children. Availability for the stated 20 hours/week, and a commute to Kirkwood, MO, are required. Training is provided, and growth opportunities exist through ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with children or in education preferred but not required.
• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• Able to commute to Kirkwood location.

Responsibilities

• Teach computer programming concepts to students using Code Ninjas curriculum.
• Guide students through coding projects and challenges, offering support and encouragement.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment encouraging creativity and problem-solving.
• Assist students in troubleshooting technical issues and debugging code.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians as needed.
• Collaborate with other instructors to develop and refine curriculum materials.
