Qualifications

• Two years of undergraduate coursework and one year of public-enforcement or related experience.
• ICC Certification Property Maintenance or Zoning Inspector within one year of hire (preferred).
• Certified Code Enforcement Officer within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive complaints of code violations for residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
• Review case files, maps, and planning documents.
• Conduct interviews, field investigations, and site surveillance.
• Explain violations and mitigation measures to the public; issue notices.
• Prepare reports and present evidence at hearings and proceedings.
• Coordinate enforcement with other agencies and staff.
