Job summary

City of Bellmead is seeking a Code Enforcement Officer in training to inspect and enforce health and safety codes across buildings, property, zoning, and nuisances. You’ll work under the Director of Community Development to protect property values and residents.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, a valid Texas driver’s license, and the ability to obtain DSHS Certification within six months. Salary is $21.89–$25.73 per hour with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of customer service experience, one (1) year of which is in a Code Enforcement Officer in training role.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class C Texas driver’s license.
• Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Code Enforcement Officer Certification or obtain within six (6) months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and enforce Federal, State, and City building, property, zoning, and nuisance codes related to health and safety issues to protect the property values and safety of the City of Bellmead citizens.

Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent if required
• Two (2) years of customer service experience, one (1) year of which is in a Code Enforcement Officer in training role
