Job summary

St. Louis County's Department of Transportation and Public Works seeks to fill the role of Office Services Representative for its Code Enforcement division. The person will interpret, verify, update, record, and process information and documents while assisting the Chief Electrical Supervisor and team.

The position requires substantial data entry, record maintenance, and public interaction. It offers a stable 8-hour day, Monday through Friday, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Significant typing and data entry experience.
• Ability to maintain written and computerized records.
• Ability to interact with the public and county departments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries and provide information and assistance to the general public in person, by telephone or by mail in matters as mandated by individual County Department concerns.
• Answer and direct calls by taking messages, schedule appointments and refer caller to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare and proof drafts and final documents including correspondence, summaries, evaluations and contracts.
• Monitor, maintain and update reports, logs, spreadsheets and database.
• Input information from forms, applications, vouchers and other source documents using a computer, computer terminal or scanner to establish and update records.
• Generate documents including contracts, subpoenas, reports, summaries, work orders and billings.
• Receive, review, process and issue vouchers, invoices, purchase orders, applications, work orders, registrations, permits and licenses.
