Job summary

The City of Fayetteville is seeking a Code Enforcement Administrator in the Solid Waste Division of the Public Services Department. You will perform field inspections, educate the public on curbside ordinances, and issue notices and citations for non-compliance, with duties including route data collection and program coordination.

Qualifications

• One year of municipal code enforcement or governmental regulatory inspection experience.
• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in code enforcement, law enforcement, construction technology, or a related field.
• Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license and ability to maintain insurability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with City departments to distribute Solid Waste public education products regarding curbside ordinance, solid waste, recycling, illegal dumping, litter, and municipal waste collection standards.
• Collaborate with government and nonprofit organizations to encourage Fayetteville resident participation in neighborhood cleanup programs and coordinate community events.
• Inspect curbside areas for blight, waste, and non-compliant ordinance issues; ensure compliance and perform follow-up inspections.
• Identify illegal dumpsites and coordinate removal of dumping, blight, and curbside safety issues.
• Collect and display data for route optimization of Solid Waste collections; research property uses, owners, tax records and maps for enforcement actions.
