Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; specialized training in criminal justice, planning, public administration, law enforcement, construction inspection, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Investigate violations and issue notices, citations, and other documentation; work towards compliance.
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation of investigations and enforcement actions.
• Prepare documentation and evidence for legal actions; testify in court as required.
• Answer citizen complaints; inspect properties for code violations and coordinate enforcement actions.
• Enforce codes and ordinances related to land use, building, housing, health and safety, and property maintenance.
