Job summary

You will review real drawings and documents, measure and mark up plans, and coordinate with QA reviewers. A certification in ICC Building Plans Examiner and several years of experience are preferred; Bluebeam Revu proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold ICC Building Plans Examiner certification (B1/B2/B3) or current/recent AHJ/third-party plan review experience.
• 3+ years in permit review within US model code jurisdictions (IBC, IEBC, IECC, ICC A117.1).
• US-based; no degree required.
• Able to mark up and measure a plan set; familiarity with plan review templates.

Responsibilities

• Review permit drawing sets for code compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare correction letters and review decisions for submittals.
• Coordinate QA reviews across editions and jurisdictions.
