The City of Savannah's Code Compliance Department seeks an energetic Code Compliance Technician to provide administrative and technical support for daily operations under the Code Compliance Manager.

This role handles contractor coordination, billing processing, accounts receivable, and customer inquiries, with a focus on accuracy and service. Work location is Office; Mon–Fri 8AM - 5PM, occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent; supplemented by six months of clerical or administrative support experience.
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products; strong typing and computer skills.
• Ability to research, organize, and compile information; communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates, assigns and reviews work and schedules for contracted personnel; monitors status and inspects completed work.
• Processes and prepares contractor payments and invoices; maintains accounts receivable records.
• Investigates billing discrepancies and provides information to customers with department policy guidance.
• Processes clearance check forms and notices related to delinquent accounts; handles customer inquiries.
• Maintains contractor files, prints monthly statements, and assists with aging reports and journals.
• Communicates with customers regarding billing and payment ability; handles confidential matters.
