Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 1+ year enforcing a law, ordinance, code, or enforcing homeowners association rules, Restaurant/Commercial Safety.
• Prior computer experience including data entry, MS Word and Excel software programs
• Prior customer service experience
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Inspect single-family and multi-family dwellings for violations of the Minimum Housing Code and IPMC.
• Inspect for violations of the City's Nuisance ordinances (lots and vehicles).
• Respond to complaints or reports of ordinance violations, issue notices, and conduct hearings with property owners.
• Manage a caseload of active ordinance violations and report progress as requested.
• Update case management activities in the code compliance software within defined timeframes.
