Qualifications

• Requires Code Enforcement Certification.
• Requires Valid Georgia Driver’s License (Class C) and a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; two years of inspections or code enforcement experience; associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigates violations of city codes and issues notices or citations.
• Performs on-site inspections of commercial and residential properties.
• Gathers evidence and prepares reports to support enforcement actions.
• Liaises with owners, tenants, contractors to gain compliance.
• Maintains records of inspections, citations, and enforcement actions.
• Coordinates with other departments and external agencies as needed.
• Responds to public inquiries regarding codes and compliance.
