Job summary

Flanigan's is seeking an energetic bartender to deliver exceptional guest experiences, prepare drinks per recipes, and maintain a clean, well-stocked bar. You will greet guests warmly, handle orders in a timely manner, and ensure accurate pricing and payments while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for entire shift and move around the bar.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs when stocking or moving supplies.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English for guest communication.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and sanitation policies and training.
• Mix liquor and drink ingredients according to recipes and measures.
• Serve guests cheerfully with a neat, clean image.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean bar.
• Verify correct drink pricing.
• Assist with food service per server duties when required.
• Be knowledgeable about drink promotions and specials and answer questions clearly.
• Enter orders into the POS system promptly.
• Identify intoxicated guests and involve a manager as needed.
• Handle payments accurately and provide correct change promptly.
• Perform shift changes and opening/closing duties.

Overview

Our bartenders are life-of-the-party, gregarious Rockstars, who know most of their regulars by name. It’s a “Come One, Come All” family-run restaurant, and we welcome people from all over for great food, great drinks, and great fun. We serve continuously from open until late night, and we’re a home away from home for many Floridians.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Mixes liquor and drink ingredients according to company recipes and measures
• Serves guests in a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as displays a neat and clean professional image
• Maintains a neat and clean, properly stocked bar
• Verifies correct pricing for drinks
• Ability to serve food according to the Server Job Description requisites
• Be knowledgeable of drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately enter orders into POS system, in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor, identify intoxicated guests and determine when to summon a Manager.
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensures transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculates and delivers correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop, stir, wipe, as well as shake drinks vigorously
• Can immerse hands in water frequently
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Ability to request proper identification, as well as manually calculate and determine guests’ age
