The Role

The Foundation Room Cocktail Server is responsible for serving food and beverages to guests in a nightclub environment with a cheerful attitude.

What You Need

Required

• State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement / Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience serving in an upscale dining and nightlife venue
• Working knowledge of high-end restaurant operations and safe, responsible alcohol service
• Ability to handle multiple tables at one time efficiently with an upbeat, friendly attitude; read guests to anticipate their needs
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Flexible schedule; ability to work late hours
• Adherence to Dress and Appearance Guidelines
• Working knowledge of cocktail tray service, basic food service, responsible alcohol service, drink recipes and garnishes, POS systems
• Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety-minded manner
• 2 years bottle service experience
• 3 years’ work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
• Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

Preferred

• Point of Sales knowledge
• Interest in wines, spirits, and mixology
• Interest in nightlife
• Cash handling experience
• Experience recognizing valid IDs
• Experience in a live music environment

Physical Demands / Working Environment

• Fast-paced and often loud and stressful environment
• Extended periods of standing and being on your feet
• Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques

What You’ll Do

• Recognize Foundation Room Members, Live Nation Corporate Executives and VIPs to instill appreciation for their membership
• Demonstrate impeccable knowledge of steps of service for upscale dining
• Demonstrate bottle and wine service skills with confidence
• Upsell and offer food and beverage recommendations
• Understand culinary terms, methods, and upscale cuisine
• Guide guests through their dining experience with recommendation and expertise
• Execute standards and procedures of Bottle Service
• Articulate vocabulary and adapt to the current audience
• Maintain exemplary grooming standards and housekeeping/sanitation standards per policy
• Cash handling and POS system experience
• Knowledge of all beverages; handle intoxicated guests safely and professionally
• Anticipate and respond to guest needs; suggestively sell beverages and menu items
• Take orders, communicate drink orders to bar, and deliver drinks through crowded spaces
• Maintain line-of-sight and atmosphere control by circulating through the work area
• Clear tables and remove dirty items; assist with bus tubs up to 25 lbs
• Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinances and policies
• Receive and process payments; handle comp and void checks per policy
• Attend pre-shift meeting as scheduled
