Position Summary

Responsible for providing exceptional service to guests across multiple bars and restaurants. Main duties include taking and delivering drink and food orders efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction while adhering to all alcohol service regulations and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Greet guests warmly, providing a positive first impression.
  2. Accurately record drink orders into the POS system, avoiding verbal orders.
  3. Maintain professionalism and engage with guests to enhance their experience.
  4. Monitor and intervene with intoxicated guests following guidelines, notifying supervisors as needed.
  5. Set up and break down the cocktail area at shifts' start and end, including organizing furniture and garnishes.
  6. Participate in daily meetings and complete required training timely.
  7. Support a positive work environment through teamwork and respect.
  8. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service.
  9. Maintain knowledge of services and local information to assist guests.
  10. Manage tables and clear them during and after service.
  11. Upsell beverages and promote specials using suggestive selling techniques.
  12. Use guest names when known, and offer a friendly farewell.
  13. Adhere to uniform standards and health and safety guidelines.
  14. Process payments accurately, including cash and card transactions.
  15. Complete opening and closing side work as assigned.
  16. Ensure responsible alcohol service, checking IDs and refusing service when appropriate.
  17. Serve food items as required.
  18. Operate POS system correctly, maintaining financial integrity.
  19. Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
Additional Responsibilities

Provide excellent guest service, resolve issues promptly, and build respectful relationships with guests.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong beverage knowledge, customer focus, understanding of alcohol laws, multitasking skills, effective communication, cash handling proficiency, and teamwork are essential.

Requirements

Education & Experience: At least 1 year serving in an establishment serving alcohol; must be 21+; high school diploma or equivalent.

Licenses & Certifications: Obtain and maintain NM Alcohol Server's License; pass background and drug screenings.

Physical & Working Conditions

Work indoors and outdoors, with temperature extremes and physical demands including lifting at least 25 lbs, standing, walking, and other physical activities as detailed.
