Job summary

Grand Hyatt Nashville is seeking a Cocktail Server to deliver prompt, friendly beverage service in lounges, banquet functions, and occasional restaurant settings. The role supports guest satisfaction, revenue generation, and the property's reputation for exceptional service.

Responsibilities include taking orders, serving a range of alcoholic beverages, handling payments, and maintaining compliance with liquor laws. A high school diploma and TIPS certification are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in hospitality/bar/restaurant preferred.
• Familiarity with responsible alcohol service practices and TIPS certification is preferred.

How You’ll Shape The Experience & Future

• Take and accurately process guest beverage orders.


• Serve alcoholic beverages, including shots, bottled beer, draught beer, and mixed drinks, in accordance with legal and company standards.


• Sell unopened alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for off-premises consumption when permitted.


• Handle guest payments, process sales, and provide accurate change.


• Arrive for scheduled shifts on time, in uniform, and ready to work per company standards.


• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable alcohol service laws.


• Greet and engage guests warmly to create a welcoming environment.


• Assist with additional duties as assigned by leadership.


• Other duties as assigned.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Pay Rate: $4.50/hour + Tips
