Silver Ventures in San Antonio, TX is seeking a friendly Cocktail Server to join our team. You will help create a warm, engaging atmosphere for guests while delivering timely drinks and friendly service in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll greet guests, present a neat appearance, learn the menu, handle orders and payments, coordinate with bussers and bartenders, and share knowledge of cocktails with guests during events and live music.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a TABC and Food Handlers certification before employment begins.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests courteously and quickly and maintain friendly, helpful communication with guests.
• Present a professional appearance and proper behavior, including well-kept clothing & hygiene.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and be able to answer questions about preparations.
• Facilitate drink orders while guests are waiting or at events, ensuring drinks are served promptly.
• Accurately record all transactions and manage open tabs, closing them efficiently.
• Remove empty plates and glassware promptly and coordinate with bussers during busy times.
• Assist bartenders and servers when applicable.
• Have a strong knowledge of cocktails and educate guests on the bar’s inventory.

As a Cocktail Server:

You have an outgoing attitude and a passion for beer and handcrafted cocktails. Hospitality is in your DNA, and you take pride in creating a great atmosphere and experience for your guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet all guests courteously and quickly and maintain friendly, helpful, and positive communication with guests always.
• Present a professional appearance and proper behavior, including well-kept clothing & hygiene.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and possess the ability to answer questions regarding our items and their preparations.
• Facilitate drink orders while guests are waiting or attending an event/live music event, ensuring drinks get served quickly.
• Accurately record all transactions and keep track of open tabs and make sure to close tabs quickly.
• Remove empty plates and glassware promptly and coordinate with bussers for assistance during busy times.
• Assist bartenders and servers when applicable.
• Have a strong knowledge of cocktails and educate guests on the bar’s inventory
• Perform any other work-related duties specified by management

Qualifications:

• Be able to work in a standing and moving position for long periods of time
• Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Must take pride in your work, have a keen eye for detail, and be accountable to yourself and to our customers.

• POS (cash register) and credit or debit card processing skills
• Physical requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time; capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.; ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions during shifts.
