Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel on the Luxe Hotels team seeks a friendly and efficient Food & Beverage Cocktail Server to provide top-tier cocktail service in a high-energy setting. You will greet guests, take and serve drink orders, and ensure every beverage meets quality standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining bar cleanliness, upselling to guests, handling payments, and collaborating with the restaurant and banquets teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cocktail server in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of cocktail recipes, wine, beer, and spirits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations professionally.

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Take drink orders and serve drinks promptly.
• Ensure drinks are served per recipes and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area and glassware.
• Verify customer ages to meet legal drinking age.
• Handle IRD orders when needed during shifts.

• Monitor alcohol consumption and intervene for responsible service.
• Manage bar inventory and report low stock to Bar Manager.
• Assist with opening/closing, setup, and restocking.

The Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel is a AAA Four Diamond hotel, proudly standing as the only property of its kind in our competitive set and in the prestigious areas of Brentwood and Bel-Air. Our stunning 160-room boutique hotel offers guests distinguished service and timeless luxury, making us a sought‑after destination in the heart of Los Angeles.

Primary Objective

Supports the Food and Beverage Outlets (Luxe Lounge, Restaurant, Room Service, Seasonal Pool Bar) in addition to banquet bars to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and that financial goals are met.

Areas of Accountability

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Takes drink orders from guests and serves drinks promptly.
• Ensure that all drinks are served according to established recipes and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including cleaning glassware, equipment, and surfaces.
• Verify the age of customers to ensure they meet the legal drinking age.
• Act as a server and take IRD orders when needed during shifts.
• Provide information about drink and food menus, recommend beverages, and up‑sell when appropriate.
• Monitor guests’ alcohol consumption and intervene as necessary to ensure responsible drinking.
• Keep track of inventory levels and report low stock or shortages to the Bar Manager.
• Assist with setting up the bar area for service, including stocking supplies, ice, garnishes, and glasses.
• Process customer payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash, credit, or debit transactions.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional and positive manner.
• Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth restaurant and bar operations.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations in accordance with local laws and company policies.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, including food items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures as required.
• Attend training and meetings as necessary to stay informed about new products, techniques, and company policies.

• Must have a valid bartending license (if required by local laws) and adhere to all state and local alcohol regulations.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
