Job summary

Accor, a global hospitality leader, seeks a Cocktail Server for its Dallas property. You will deliver exceptional service, maintain guest relations, and uphold standards across beverage service while ensuring compliance with liquor regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years of age required.
• 1 year of cocktail server, food server or host/hostess experience preferred.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Experience in bartending and handling cash.
• Certification in an alcohol awareness program (TABC) is preferred.
• CPR certification is an asset.
• Basic input of information in POS/MICROS system.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of policies, procedures and standards (FAME, LQA).
• Anticipate guests’ needs and respond promptly to inquiries.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Know menu items, liquor brands, and wine by the glass; assist guests with recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with state liquor regulations (no service to minors).
• Operate POS/MICROS and related systems; manage assigned bank accurately.

This position as a Cocktail Server is for a passionate food service individual who will provide an exceptional experience to ourguests.

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards (i.e., FAME, LQA guidelines).
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
• Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
• Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.
• Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
• Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
• Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range and dress code of assigned outlet.
• Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Keep bank secure at all times.
• Maintain complete knowledge of P.O.S. (MICROS) and manual systems

• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
• Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 1-year experience as a Cocktail Server, Food Server or Host/Hostess.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Experience in bartending and handling cash.
• Certification in an alcohol awareness program.
• Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.
• Food handling certificate & TABC.
• Certification of CPR an asset
• Provide legible communication.
• Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
• Compute basic arithmetic.
