Live! Hospitality & Entertainment at PBR Texas in Arlington, TX is seeking a Cocktail Server. Greet guests, take beverage and food orders, and deliver cocktails while upselling.

Maintain a friendly, energetic, professional demeanor to ensure guest satisfaction. Requirements include at least 1 year in a fast-paced venue, fluent English, strong communication, and an alcohol/food safety certification. Shifts may include nights, weekends and holidays; you will coordinate with bartenders and kitchen

Qualifications

• 1 year of serving in a fast-paced venue (nightclub preferred).
• Fluent English required.
• Courteous, pleasant and patient demeanor.
• Strong communication with guests, bartenders and kitchen staff.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit as required by local/state law.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner.
• Serve cocktails and menu items to bar guests; upsell when taking orders.
• Maintain energetic, outgoing, professional demeanor while delivering service with a smile.
• Communicate clearly with guests and staff, using the POS system.
• Know all concept products and menu items to guide guest experience and upsell.
• Check IDs to ensure minimum age for alcohol.
• Monitor alcohol service and intervene as needed; report incidents to management.
• Complete side work and accurately account for all sales and payments.
• Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of items.

Description

Born from the toughest sport on dirt, the flagship PBR bar at Texas Live! is the largest PBR venue in the country. The venue is a powerhouse concept that brings an authentic country experience to Arlington, marrying an electric combination of “cowboy cool” and big-time, Texas-sized entertainment. Featuring two mechanical bulls, the country’s flagship PBR exceeds 1,500-capacity and includes a 7,000 square foot balcony overlooking Arlington Backyard. Throw in cold beer, hard drinks, and a little bull ridin' and it's every cowboy and cowgirl's nighttime oasis.

Cocktail Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professionalmanner.
• Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests; up-sell when taking orders.
• Must be willing and able to show that you are energetic, outgoing, fun person while maintaining professionalism at all times.Must be willingto provide outstanding and professional service with a smile to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Must be able tocommunicate effectivelyand clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff both verbally andutilizing the point of sales system.
• Communicate withguests clearly, patiently and with good humor.
• Must be well-versed inallconcept products andmenu itemsin order to guide the guest experience and sell food and beverage items.
• Consistentlychecks guests' identification to ensure they meet the minimum age requirements for consumption of alcohol beverages.
• Monitor guest behavior and amount of alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guests should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of guests.
• Must be able to complete all side work assigned.
• Accurately account for all sales and payments from the guest.
• AlertManagement of any service and/or safety issues.Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to establishedguidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Promoteteamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordinationwith other departments.
• Coordinatewith bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages.

Cocktail Qualifications

• At least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferrably nightclub environment. Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred.
• Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred.
• Must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured.
• Communication skills are utilized asignificant amount of time when interacting with guests, bartender, waitstaff, cooks, and supervisors.
• Alcoholawareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
• Basic math skills are frequently used when handling cash and credit.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

The Cocktail position requires the ability to perform the following:

• Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds (bar ware, carts,boxes, bottles, etc.).
• Must be able to efficiently and safely stand andmoveabout theentire facility during each shift.
