Job summary

The Ghoman Group is hiring a Bartender for our Indianapolis, Indiana location. Open to both full-time and part-time candidates. Pay ranges from $14.00 to $17.00 per hour, with tips and gratuities in addition to base pay.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years bartending experience preferred, hotel/restaurant/upscale bar experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience using POS systems and handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and other beverages per established recipes and quality standards.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting customers, taking orders, and responding to requests professionally.
• Recommend beverages, food pairings, and menu specials to enhance the guest experience and encourage sales.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area throughout each shift.
• Process cash, credit card, and other payments accurately using the POS system.
• Verify guest identification and follow all applicable alcohol service laws and responsible service practices.
• Monitor beverage inventory, replenish supplies, and report shortages to management.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including bar setup, cleaning, restocking, and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely and efficient food and beverage service.
• Handle guest concerns courteously and communicate service issues to management when necessary.
• Follow company policies, food safety procedures, sanitation requirements, and workplace safety standards.
