MasTec Communications Group in Denver is seeking a motivated Coax Splicer Trainee to learn and grow within a safety-minded environment while expanding technology for the community.

You will gain hands-on experience, work on aerial and underground coax, and join a team dedicated to high-quality service. This is a long-term, field-based role with opportunities for overtime and career development.

• You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team.
• You have experience in CATV installation or other telecom experience.
• You are comfortable working on a ladder or bucket truck.
• You are flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtime.
• You have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT Med card for driving purposes.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable
• Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity
• Utilize RF Meters and TDR (Time-Domain Reflectometers)
• Read CATV telecommunication design and prints
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites

In addition, you will:

• Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable
• Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity

Compensation of $21-$22 per hour.
