Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Coax Splicer Trainee in Tampa, FL. You will develop hands-on skills while contributing to outdoor utility construction and network upgrades. You'll splice, sweep and troubleshoot coaxial cable, read CATV prints, operate RF meters and TDR equipment, and work with a team on challenging projects.

• You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work.
• You are looking for long-term projects.
• You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team.
• You have experience in CATV installation or other telecom experience.
• You are comfortable working on a ladder or bucket truck.
• You are flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtime.
• You have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT Med card for driving purposes.
