Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Coax Splicer to join a team of construction professionals. You will splice, sweep, troubleshoot, and upgrade coaxial cable systems, reading telecommunications designs and working on outdoor sites.

Qualified candidates have 1–3 years of splicing experience, are comfortable on ladders or bucket trucks, and are ready for overtime in a safety-first environment. MOS codes referenced include B05A and 6423.

Responsibilities

• Utilize RF Meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers).
• Read CATV telecommunication design and prints.
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites.

Responsibilities

As a Coax Splicer, you will be a part of a team of construction professionals who produce high-quality work while using specialized skills in splicing, activations, testing, troubleshooting, and more to make a difference. You will upgrade the existing plant, plant extensions, and new building construction. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.

• Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable
• Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity
• Utilize RF Meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers)
• Read CATV telecommunication design and prints
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites

Qualifications
