Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC. is seeking a Coax Splicer in Minnesota to join our field operations.

You will perform coax splicing and cable upgrades both aerial and underground, test and troubleshoot post-installation equipment, and ensure adherence to customer and industry standards. You will operate at various heights, complete routine vehicle maintenance, and document work through daily production reports, including material usage records.

Qualifications

• Six months of coax splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records
• Other duties as assigned
