Job summary

TCS Communications, LLC is seeking a Coax Splicer II to support telecommunications construction. The role involves splicing coaxial systems for internet, cable TV, and phone providers, with duties spanning aerial and underground work.

You will test and troubleshoot post-installation equipment, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain vehicles. A DOT medical card and two years of coax splicing experience are required, with a valid driver's license and a GED or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of coax splicing experience.
• Must obtain DOT medical card after exam.
• Pole climber certification preferred or demonstrated proficiency.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.

Responsibilities

• Perform coax splicing tasks for aerial and underground networks.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely work at heights and in confined spaces; navigate from underground to aerial work.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Document work in daily production reports and update maps and material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned.
