MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Coax Splicer to join a safety-minded team and contribute to high-quality building and maintenance of coaxial networks. The role involves splicing, testing, and upgrading plant in outdoor utility environments, with opportunities to advance skills and work varied shifts with overtime.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years of splicing experience, comfort with ladders/bucket trucks, and a hands-on, quality-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Safety is a value you live by.
• You have at least 1-3 years of splicing and sweeping.
• You are comfortable working on a ladder or a bucket truck.
• You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands‑on approach to your work.
• You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• You are flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtime.
• You have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT Med card for driving purposes (Applicants are subject to an MVR review and must meet company standards for a safe driving record)

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity.
• Utilize RF Meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers).
• Read the CATV telecommunication design and prints.
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites.
