Job summary

TrueNorth Steel in West Fargo, ND is hiring a Team Lead for the coating and manufacturing floor. You will supervise production staff, implement safety and quality programs, and work with the Shop Supervisor to meet daily goals.

Responsibilities include coaching employees, conducting annual reviews, managing time and labor in ERP, resolving safety issues, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring on-time delivery of coated products.

• Administer yearly goals and performance reviews with supervisor aid.
• Apply root cause analysis and close corrective actions and non-conformances.
• Time and labor management: review labor time reporting and PTO.
• Review and correct labor reporting in ERP systems.
• Supervise staff to produce coated products and monitor workflow.
• Identify safety, quality, and production issues with solutions.

Responsibilities

• The Team Lead will assist the Shop Supervisor in overseeing and coordinating all activities of production employees in their designated area.
• Follows all company Safety and Quality policies.
• Be trained in surface preparations using blast and solvent cleaning and coating applications.
• Read SDS and Product Data Sheets to establish knowledge for coatings work.
• Assist in loading/unloading product onto flatbeds/trailers; operate forklift and crane.
• Promote prompt, dependable attendance; be flexible for overtime and weekends as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
