Job summary

TrueNorth Steel in West Fargo, ND is seeking a Team Lead for the coating/paint operations to supervise production employees in their area, ensure safety, and drive quality.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in coatings, and ability to manage labor, training, performance reviews, and corrective actions. Shift is 4:00pm-4:30am Mon-Thu with overtime; competitive pay 31-34+ per hour plus $2 differential and full benefits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate activities of production employees in designated area.
• Support Shop Supervisor in day-to-day production operations.
• Drive employee engagement and conduct one-on-one discussions with shop floor staff.
• Administer yearly goals and performance reviews with supervision assistance.
• Apply root cause analysis and close corrective actions for safety, quality or production issues.
• Manage time and labor reporting, PTO approvals, and bi-weekly payroll time sheets.
• Review labor reporting in ERP systems and ensure efficient workflow on the shop floor.
• Mentor and train lower level coating applicators and maintain tool/readiness on the floor.
• Enforce safety rules and ensure PPE usage; maintain a safe, clean work environment.
