Job summary

Allegion plc is seeking a Process Engineering Technician for Coatings in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on improving coatings processes, including electroplating, ecoat, powder coat, and anodizing, to drive quality and reliability on the plant floor.

You will report to the Coatings Engineering Leader and collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to implement process improvements, support new equipment, and manage small to medium projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2+ years experience or a Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years manufacturing experience in process improvement.
• Willingness to pursue CEF certification.
• Experience with metal surface-finishing processes preferred.
• Knowledge of powder-coat systems preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Creo for coatings layouts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Improve first-pass yield (FPY) and troubleshoot quality/throughput issues in real time.
• Lead MRB dispositions to ensure correct scrap/rework decisions.
• Perform pre- and post-process testing for quality compliance.
• Execute preventive maintenance and equipment upkeep.
