Job summary

Rust-Oleum Corporation in Maryland seeks a Filler/Helper to operate, set up, change over, and tend packaging machines for safe, efficient production of coatings.

Daily tasks include monitoring machines, adjusting tension and flow, feeding supplies, removing finished items, and reporting malfunctions to a supervisor. This non-exempt role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift 75 pounds, in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 1+ years of related industrial work experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and enter data accurately.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled products.
• Adjust machine components, tension, and speed according to product size or angle.
• Tend to or operate packaging machines.
• Remove finished items and separate rejects.
• Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature; stop or reset machines when needed.
• Report malfunctions to supervisor and clear jams.
• Secure packaged items and replenish packaging supplies.
