Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a crew of Painters on Overhaul/Repair and New Construction projects. You will assign daily goals, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members to achieve safety, quality, cost and schedule targets.

The role requires coatings experience, AMPP NBPI certification (or equivalent), and the ability to work all shifts with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of coatings experience requested.
• Must complete AMPP Coating Inspection Program Level 1 or higher, or NBPI certification.
• Available for all shifts.
• Must meet one: 1 year EB experience; 3 years combined relevant experience and supervisor experience; or EB experience plus related Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage a crew of Painters on Overhaul/Repair and New Construction contracts.
• Assign and measure daily production goals using OWL.
• Provide technical expertise, instruct, mentor, and motivate the crew.
• Support Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Continuous Improvement goals; be available for all shifts and travel as required.
