Job summary

IDEX Health & Science LLC., a unit of IDEX Corporation, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician – Coatings at its West Henrietta, NY site. The role supports production and engineering to sustain and optimize coating processes, train staff, and implement improvements.

You will work with Manufacturing Operations to develop processes, troubleshoot issues, and lead value stream enhancements while maintaining KPI metrics and on-the-floor training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Technical Associate Degree.
• Minimum of 8 years working with vacuum chambers.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
• Experience documenting Manufacturing Processes.
• Demonstrated training effectiveness of production staff on new or updated processes.
• Organized, motivated, approachable and able to prioritize multiple tasks without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering on process development and production concerns.
• Troubleshoot chamber issues to resolve downtime.
• Expedite work orders and provide status updates.
• Move parts on/off Manufacturing Hold with QA.
• Evaluate optical measurements and adjust processes.
• Learn new software to support production, including writing scripts.
• Track and maintain KPI metrics.
• Write and update work instructions.
• Attend Daily Management Meetings and escalate production/quality issues.
• Provide on-the-floor training to manufacturing associates.
• Lead value stream process improvements.
• Provide input to manager on areas of performance and opportunities for improvement.
