Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Coatings Inspector II to lead inspection of protective coating and lining work on industrial, water, and infrastructure projects in Jacksonville. You will plan hold points, verify surface prep, application and cure with sign-off authority, and perform adhesion and holiday testing.

You will supervise Level 1 inspectors on larger projects, write inspection reports, and resolve nonconformances with applicators, ensuring compliance with SSPC/NACE AMPP standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years inspecting under CIP Level 2 certification.
• Command of SSPC/NACE surface preparation standards and common coating systems.
• Ability to stop an application out of spec and document it for resolution.

Responsibilities

• Plan inspection hold points and testing per coating specs and data.
• Verify surface prep, application and cure with sign-off at each hold point.
• Perform adhesion, holiday and cure testing; write reports.
