Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Coatings Inspector II to lead coating and lining inspections on industrial, water, and infrastructure projects with sign-off authority at hold points. You will plan inspections from the coating spec, verify surface preparation, application and cure, and perform adhesion and holiday testing with documentation for owners and engineers.

The role requires AMPP CIP Level 2 certification and 2+ years of related inspecting experience, plus knowledge of SSPC/NACE

Qualifications

• AMPP CIP Level 2 certification required.
• 2+ years inspecting under CIP Level 2.
• Knowledge of SSPC/NACE surface preparation standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan inspection hold points and testing per coating specifications.
• Verify surface prep, application, and cure with sign-off authority at each hold point.
• Perform adhesion and holiday testing and verify cure.
• Dispoose defects and specify repairs; supervise Level 1 inspectors on large projects.
• Write inspection and nonconformance reports; represent program to owner and applicator.
